a. of king 2Sam 1:10; 2Kin 11:12 2Chr 23:11; symbol of royal power Psa 89:40; 132:18; compare Prov 27:24; נ ׳אַבְּנֵי‎ Zech 9:16 stones of a crown, diadem (probably; > We Now — who strike out, compare GASm — stones of charming, from use of precious stones as charms.

b. of high priest, ׳נ הַקֹּדֶשׁ‎ Exod 29:6, made of gold 39:30; Lev 8:9 (all P).

b. in Numbers 6 (P), specifically of Nazirite consecration (compare נָזִיר‎) : ׳נ עָלָיו אֱלֹהָיו‎ Num 6:7, נִזְרוֺ נֶדֶר‎ 6:5, נ ׳טָמֵא‎ 6:12, נ ׳ראֹשׁ‎ (because of unshorn hair) 6:9; 6:18; 6:18, נ יְמֵי ׳(כָּלֿ)‎ 6:4; 6:8; 6:12; 6:13 נ ׳תּוֺרַת‎ 6:21 b compare ׳עַלנֿ‎ 6:21a; in 6:19 ׳נ‎ = the hair of his consecration (compare Jer 7:29 above).
