1. speak against, gainsay, contradict, τινί Th. 5.30, Pl. Smp. 216b, X. Mem. 4.6.13, etc.; περί τινος Th. 8.53, X. Mem. 4.4.8; ὑπὲρ τῶν δικαίων ib. 3.5.12; πρός τι 1.2.17; πρός πάντα τὰ δίκαια Ar.
