III. פרשׁ‎ (√ of following; compare Aramaic מְּרַת‎ Pa`el (rare) cause to break or burst forth (a serpent its brood), מַּרְתָּא‎ dung; Syriac Pa`el rip open, = 1. מֶּרֶשׁ‎; Arabic IV. rip open stomach, and scatter contents (compare VII), = I. מֶּרֶשׁ‎).
