ֶבּהָלָה noun feminine dismay, sudden terror or ruin (compare Assyrian bêltu, terror, DlPr 32) — ׳בּ absolute [Lev 26:16] [2]t.; plural וֶּבהָלוֺת [Jer 15:8]; — sudden terror [Lev 26:16] בּ עֲלֵיכֶם ׳וְהִפְקַדְתִּ֫י (appositives follow); compare [Jer 15:8]; [Isa 65:23] לַבֶּהָלָה יֵָֽלְדוּ לֹא, [Psa 78:33] בַּבֶּהָלָה וּשְׁנוֺתָם יְמֵיהֶ֑ם וַיְכַלבַּֿהֶבֶל and he ended their days in a breath, and their years in sudden terror.
