יִתְרוֺן noun [masculine] advantage, profit, only Ecclesiastes; — absolute [Eccl 1:3-4]t.; construct [2:13] [4]t.; — advantage to (ל) any one, לָאָדָם מַהיִֿתְרוֺן [1:3], i.e. what advantage hath a man ? [5:15]; [10:11]; followed by מִן comparative = advantage beyond, more than [2:13] (twice in verse); construct הָעוֺשֶׂה יִתְרוֺן [3:9] advantage of (for) him that worketh; אֶדֶץ יִתְרוֺן [5:8]; דַּעַת יִתְרוֺן [7:12] advantage of knowledge; חָכְמָה הַכְשֵׁיר וְיִתְרוֺן [10:10] an advantage for giving success is wisdom; absolute הַשָּׁ֑מֶשׁ תַּחַת יִתְרוֺן אֵין [2:11].
