יֹתֵר יוֺתֵר, noun masculine superiority, advantage, excess (late) (properly
Qal participle of יתר) — absolute יוֺתֵר [Eccl 7:16] [2]t.; יֹתֵר [2:15] [4]t.; — superiority, advantage מִןהַֿכְּסִיל לֶחָכָם מַהיּֿוֺתֵר [6:8] what advantage hath the wise over the fool? probably also מֵהֵמָּה יֹתֵר [12:12] (as to) what is more than these (see VB); absolute לָאָדָם מַהיֹּֿתֵר [6:11]; הַשָּׁ֑מֶשׁ לְרֹאֵי יֹתֵר [7:11]; elsewhere adverb to excess, overmuch [2:15]; [7:16]; followed by מִן (as often in Late Hebrew), מִמֶּנִּי יוֺתֵר [Est 6:6] more than me; שֶׁ ׳יֹתֵר = besides that [Eccl 12:9].
