As no such place is known, the text is usually regarded as corrupt, and, ᵐ5 being uncertain, is variously changed: (1) יַעַר דָּ֫נָה to Dan in the wood, Thes after ᵑ9 silvestria. (2) (וַיָּסֹבּוּ) וְעִיּוֺן דָּ֫נָה to Dan and Ijon Klo (compare [1Kin 15:20]). (3) (סָֽבֲבוּ) וּמִדָּן דָּן We Dr compare ᵐ5.
