| Gil'gal. (a wheel; rolling). In 2Ki 2:1-2; 2Ki 4:38 is named a Gilgal visited by Elijah and Elisha. This could not be the Gilgal of the low plain of the Jordan, for the prophets are said to have gone down to Bethel, which is 3000 feet above the plain.
