1 cleave open, through, 3 masculine singular יְפַלַּח of piercing kidneys [Job 16:13], liver [Prov 7:23] (both figurative); אֶל וַיְּפַלַּח [2Kin 4:39] of cutting up (fruit) into pot.
2 cause to cleave open, 3 feminine plural תְּפַלַּחְנָה יַלְדֵיהֶן [Job 39:3] of animals bringing forth young; read perhaps תְּפַלַּטְנָה ([21:10]).
