demonstrative [Hab 1:11] כֹחוֺ זוּ this his strength, [Psa 12:8] זוּ מִןהַֿדּוֺר (unusual, for הַזֶּה), [62:12] שָׁמַעָתִּי שְׁתַּיִםזֿוּ these two things &c. (but: better (WickesPost. Acc. 64) ז֣וּ שְׁ֖תַּיִם two things (are there) which &c.: see 2). 2 a
relative, [Exod 15:13] גָאָ֑לְתָּ עַםזֿוּ the people which thou hast redeemed, [15:16]; [Isa 42:24] לוֺ חָטָאנוּ זוּ against whom we sinned, [43:21]; [Psa 9:16] (feminine) ָפמנוּ רֶשֶׁתשֿזוּ so [31:5]; [10:2]; [17:9] (with a plural antecedent) שַׁדּוּנִי זוּ רְשָׁעִים מִמְּנֵי, [32:8]; [68:29] (thou) who hast wrought for us ! [142:4]; [143:8]. To most of these paasages the remark made under זה 5 respecting the intention of the punctuators also applies: compare De on [9:16]. (compare , used as an indeclinable relative pronoun = in the Tayyite dialect: thus there has come upon them that which has come: it is we who have done this.
